Gregory Davis
Principal and chief investment officer, Vanguard Asia Pacific
Davis is responsible for Vanguard’s investment management strategy and implementation, the continued development of its highly rated index investment process and an expanding range of new products and tailored investment solutions to a growing list of Australian and international clients. Leading a team of 48 investment professionals, Davis reports to Vanguard’s global chief investment officer, Tim Buckley.
Joining Vanguard in 1999, Davis’ most recent role was as head of bond indexing at Vanguard’s Fixed Income Group in the United States. Davis is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia. He also served on the board of trustees for Philadelphia Futures, a non-profit organisation dedicated to serving economically disadvantaged students with programs and resources to succeed in college. Before joining Vanguard, Davis worked at Merrill Lynch as an associate in global debt markets. He earned a BS in insurance from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
